Photo 3 of 7 in $3900 (Caldwell IDAHO) Bug - Rat Rod 1965 Gallery.Scroll down for photo information

Awesome Ratrod Bug that turns heads! Lots of custom work done to this bug. Axle beam narrowed approx 7 inches for front tires to tuck way up in the fenders, torsion bar adjusters moved to lower the ride, fuel tank notched to allow room for repositioned air shocks. Gauges for the shocks are in a handmade bezel where the stock radio would originally be. All handmade custom windshield visor & roof rack. Old 50's mirror mounted on the passenger front fender. Rear pop out windows. Porsche lenses over the headlights. VW emblems cut with laser jet for the hood, clutch, and brake pedals. T-handle shifter. Full length skid reinforcement along the pan. 1600 with single port heads (more torque & better gas mileage) has been refurbished with new rod bearings, gaskets, and seals. Goes 78 MPH. Previous owner siliconed the sunroof closed because it did not have all the working equipment. Needs interior work. Solid car with minimal rust. Two brand new tires on the rear 165/80/15 (less than 500 miles on them at this time). New front & rear wheel bearings. "Ooga" horn with a cool sound like the old model-T's used to have. Windows work, all lights, turn signals, etc work. Speedometer & gas gauge work. Local pick up or $500 shipping/delivery cost.
