"El Guapo." This Rod is a one of a kind 1956 Austin London Taxi Cab which has been in multiple magazines with articles and not to mention its a double cover car in Ol Skool Rodz and Rebel Rodz. It has also been featured in the GrinderTV DVD that was just released last month. To put it simple the Austin Cabs were built between 1948-1958 and they produced about 10,000 of these vehicles. This is the only one of those that has ever been turned into a full custom which makes it a one of a kind vehicle. We being SoCal Suspension out of San Diego California found one of the few left. Over a 2 year period, fully customized it into what you see today. These cars start off as a 4 door sedan, which was converted into a 2 door coupe. Then chopped, sectioned, narrowed, and channeled into the shape it is now. Now the chassis had to be shortened to fit the new body. This frame has full air ride suspension with a four linked rear suspension and a custom five linked front end. The vehicle is still equipped with the original FX-3 four cylinder motor which is in good running condition. This car fully functions and is even licensed to drive in the U.S. roads. Once the vehicle was finished and in running/driving condition it underwent a 1 year paint and body full custom paint job. Once the paint and body was complete, a full custom interior was done on the vehicle. The wheel and tire combination is a 16inch Steelie wheel with a 16-8.50 4 1/2inch white wall rear tire and a 16-6.0 2 1/2inch white wall front tire. There are a lot unique small features like the custom aluminum steel knuckle door handles to the on and off "kill switch" that came from a prison electric chair.
