1962 vw bug. Very neat car with awesome history. This car was built by the owner (Doug Fuller) of the Volksrod shop in Utah. The car was built for his "shop car" and was used for an official lead vehicle for the race cars on the salt flats. This little thing has been 115 mph on the flats!!! Mario Andretti actually drove it on the salt flats and then signed the glove box door. Car has awesome patina with a cool "Volksrod" door logo. Doug did a lot of custom work to this car, including a hand built custom steering wheel, custom built roof rack, custom built rear spring plate extenders, narrowed the beam 4" etc. It also has been beefed up to a 1776 cc motor that is a beast. It also has a 4spd trans that gets the highway speeds no problem. Recent tune up, new motor and trans mounts, custom interior, custom wheels, etc. It was in the hotvw magazine march of 2013. I am selling this for a friend, I'm no bug expert by any means, and am relaying what I'm told about the technical stuff, but I do know this is a very cool little car that is an absolute blast to drive, Kinda like a turbo go-cart on steroids. Please call or text 97 TW0 57 0NE 5 8 TW0 TW0. $8450. Car is located in Shreveport Louisiana. Thanks
